Claudia Malacrida, Fine Artist

I’m a (re)emerging artist, returning to painting with joy and gratitude after post-career. Making art and diving deep into the creative process has been a gift, and painting has allowed me to develop a deeper way of seeing encounter and interpreting a natural world that, despite its our best efforts, remains exquisitely beautiful. Painting is seeing, feeling, being, immersing, and I hope to share at least some of that process and depth in my paintings.

My work is mostly land or seacapes, focused on BC and Alberta, where natural beauty abounds. I’m in love with the clear, brilliant light of the prairies, enchanted by the serene glow of the coast, and it is my deep pleasure to express my way of seeing those places through painting so others can share the joy and solace that nature gives us.
