Sewailu - Sattva Mosaics

Sewailu Auzins has dedicated over two decades to studying and honing her techniques in mosaics. In 2006, she journeyed to Ravenna, Italy, to immerse herself in the study of traditional mosaic art and sought mentorship from esteemed artists across North America, the UK, and Australia. Her creative endeavors draw inspiration from her travels and introspective meditative experiences. At times, her artistic vision is guided by the innate beauty of stones, glass, and a diverse array of materials seamlessly integrated into her creations.

Sewailu's mosaic artworks have been showcased in prestigious juried art exhibitions across Canada and the United States. Central to Sewailu's artistic philosophy is the belief that art serves as a gateway to reconnect with nature, oneself, and the essence of the present moment.
