Event Description | Hop & Talk: Creative Meetups for Inspired People

Did you know that there are around 1800 pieces of art at the University of Victoria (UVic) campus and in the community? Out of all universities in Canada, UVic displays the largest public art collection in a non-museum space!

Lorilee Wastasecoot, Curator of Indigenous Art and Engagement at the UVic Legacy Art Galleries, will be leading a Zoom tour of the Indigenous artworks on campus at this month’s Hop & Talk. Join us in this exploration of the art of the Indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast and learn about how these practices connect to their worldview, teachings, and culture.
