Block Print Patch Making Workshop
Facilitated by GloomyBunz!

In this workshop you will learn the basics of block printing on fabric to make sew-on patches for your clothing. You can try printing using Gloomybunz blocks, and then if you like you can try carving and printing your own! 

Supplies will be provided, but if you would like to bring some fabric or a piece of clothing to print, feel free! Just make sure it is mostly cotton and able to be heat set. 

This workshop is facilitated by Gloomybunz! Gloomybunz is the artistic alias of Emma Jory, self taught printmaker from Lytton, BC. They have been hand carving block prints since 2020, and create art prints, patches clothing. Their art is dark, bold, and inspired by mortality, community, grief and growth. 

When: Saturday, April 27th, from 12pm - 2pm.

Where: Esquimalt Rec Center, Seniors Center

Ages: Teens and up*

*We will be working with sharp tools.
