Community Weaving Workshop

In this workshop, you will learn the basics of loom weaving while creating one collective art piece as a team with the whole workshop! This is a fun, collaborative, and community-building 2-hour workshop. Whether you are brand new or have some experience with fiber arts, this will be an amazing time to learn about weaving and make and build connections within our community! :)

The more participants the better, so if you're interested invite your friends and family!

The final work will be displayed at our booth during the Urban Arts Tour in July and the East West Mural Vest in August/September!

It is open to all ages 8 and up (more details below). All materials will be provided!

This workshop will be facilitated by Noah Gilroy! Noah (they/them) is an artist based out of the shared lands of the WSÁNEĆ, Songhees, and Esquimalt nations. They began weaving in 2017 on these lands, so their work is often inspired by colours and textures of the Pacific Northwest. They try to capture its rugged spirit and natural beauty in their creations.
